Presenting the Wooden Box #2 aftermath. A bit more gruesome than the other performances of this piece.

So this is is my current mixing station set up in entertainment mode. I picked up a pair of speakers (bottom pair) along with a stereo receiver for $30 over the weekend off of craigslist and a couple months I picked up the top brown/cream pair at a garage sale for $1. The corner speakers are my main mixing speakers I bought for $150 ($300 retail) also off of craigslist. People who mix/record may question these two pairs but I’m using them as grot boxes to test the translation of my mixes through various listening set ups. It’s awesome, it’s just a matter of flicking a button to switch between all of the speakers. Off to the right I have a book up on my Kindle Fire about recording, mixing, mastering, etc and then on the left is a book I haven’t read ever really but I’m going to attempt to read that one as well sometime. Oh by the way Faux Reality’s recording process is going exceptionally well; I finished most of the guitar tracks today.-tom-cat

Recording for the Faux Reality album in a house that was 36 degrees. The only thing warm in the whole house was the guitar tone. Thanks to my brother for taking this awesome photo.- tom-cat
